Jigme Tshering |
I did my undergraduate in Botany from the University of Kerala, India. I completed my Post Graduate Teaching Certificate from Samtse, National Teacher Training Institute of Bhutan, in 2005. I worked as high school science teacher for three years in Bhutan. In the school of 500 students and 45 staff, I served as Staff Secretary, Youth Leader, School Health chairperson, National Life Skill core member, and HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis prevention member. I graduated from Teton Science Schools in Place-Based Education and Environmental Science last year. Currently, I am pursuing my Masters in Natural Science in Education under Science and Math Teaching Center in the University of Wyoming. After my masters studies, I will be working in the Royal University of Bhutan. I will help the curriculum developers to integrate place-based education and natural science in the science unit. Besides, I will assist the teachers in inquiry-based learning.
